It will be a spectacular and unpredictable 59th Gp Palio del Recioto - Trofeo C&F Resinatura Blocchi that will be staged on the roads of Valpolicella on Tuesday 19th April. Ten days before the start, the staff of Valpolicella B.E.S.T. has made official the list of the 44 teams, each with 4 athletes, that will be at the starting line of the 2022 dream race.
The edition of the restart will mark a new record for the classic of Negrar di Valpolicella with an unprecedented number of teams at the start that will allow to see in race the best 176 Under 23 in the world.
The organisers, led by President Alessandro Comin Chiaramonti, have carried out a careful and targeted selection process over the last few seasons with the aim of creating a race of the highest technical level and, at the same time, guaranteeing maximum international representation.
There will be 20 Italian teams competing, plus 24 teams from 18 different countries representing three continents (Europe, America and Asia).
After the break of two years caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Gp Palio del Recioto will be back on the scene with a new international scope and with a focus on the quality of the competing talents.
The race, which has seen on its podium the names of young athletes who over the years have won all the major races in the professional calendar, is therefore ready to offer another show not to be missed that will see the best Italian promises to which will be added a selection of champions from all over the world.
Attracting the attention of connoisseurs will certainly be the presence of leading formations in the youth scene that gravitate around the main World Tour teams such as Jumbo Visma Development, Astana Qazaqstan Development, Ag2r Citroen U23 and the Israel Cycling Academy.
Great attention deserves also the Professional team of Bardiani CSF Faizanè in race with its own Under 23 and the 24 continental teams that with the international results collected in these months have deserved the invitation of Valpolicella B.E.S.T.; the organizers of the 59th Gp Palio del Recioto - Trofeo C&F Resinatura Blocchi had a special care also for the territorial teams starting from the three teams from Verona whose presence will exalt the local public.
Appointment fixed therefore for Tuesday 19 April in Negrar di Valpolicella (Vr) for a day of celebration and sport up to the tradition and the coat of arms of the Palio del Recioto.
