Vianelli wins for detachment the G.P. del Recioto in Negrar

The Brescian ran away on the climb that leads to Corrubio - Filippi and Corradini at the places of honor - Excellent organization of G. S. Valpolicella CSI.

NEGRAR, 23 April
The Brescian Vianelli, at his first seasonal race, imposed himself with detachment in the Gran Premio Palio del Recioto. A legitimate victory, conquered by force, built meter by meter, just in the final on that stretch of the hardest path that leads from Prun to Corrubio.

Vianelli has played all his cards at his disposal at the first roughness, where he had arrived in the company of other competitors including Castelletti, Filippi, Corradini and Vigni, among the most active. He sprung a first time, but on his wheel the adversaries promptly threw themselves. He didn't give up. He was in a day of grace so he could dare.

Pedron, who has gearbox problems, is already out of the fight. Shortly afterwards he abandons together with Dal Dosso. The first scoring sprint is clearly won by Fava, who passes with a twenty meter lead over Frison and the group is further away. Fava insists in his attempt. He will win also the second finish line (lap 10) and the third one (lap 15). Behind Fava, Frison manages to hook up with the outrider.

Now we head towards S. Maria and Parona. Shortly after the general rejoining in Fumane. A stretch of white road forces the competitors to proceed with caution. From S. Pietro Bompieri and Faccioli were the first to pass, followed shortly by Martini and Bottazzini, with the group further away.

At Domegliara, Martini and Bottazzini were joined by the large group dragged by Corradini. Bombieri and Faccioli, alternating at the command, were the first to face the Masua climb. The scala tori had a good game and gradually moved into the first positions. Fasoli was the first to reach the top, followed by Corradini and then all the competitors who had competed up to this point were in a row. On the descent to Negrar, a small group of about twenty formed at the head. Fora Fasoli and for the good runner of Gaiga the race is now over.

It still passes from Parona, S. Floriano, S. Pietro Inc. to S. Ambrogio with to the commando Righi, Martini, Corradini, Fava, and via the others. Maffolini, Cestari and Pasetto were left behind. Savo runs out shortly after. In the vicinity of S. Pietro, Vighi and Martini sprint but Corradini and three other competitors emerge from the rear. In Pedemonte Martini, Castelletti, Filippi, Corradini, Vianelli and Vigni pass with an advantage of about 30" on Magrinelli and Farina. More distant the group of latecomers. Nothing changed in Negrar.

On the first ramps of the climb that leads to Torbe, Vianelli snaps and in a short time will make the gap between himself and the pursuers. The rider from Brescia climbs with ease. Behind him Castelletti, Filippi and Corradini, far away the others.

Vianelli is awarded the prize of the finish line of Prun and more and more solitary continues towards the goal. Another stretch of white road, and here we are in Corrubio where on the summit has given meeting a crowd of fans and tourists. Vianelli passes with about 2' of advantage on Filippi, Corradini, and Castelletti who is suffering from fatigue. The Brescian throws himself dead body in the descent. The speedometer of the "1100" on which we are guests touches the 70 kilometers per hour.

Only after having overtaken Fane and Prun we succeed in bringing us in the wake of the fugitive, launched towards his great and first seasonal enterprise. Only a puncture can take away from Vianelli the joy of the final victory.

In Negrar, Parona and Pedemonte a large audience stands at the sides of the road. Vianelli, tried falls slightly of tone, however will still find the strength to come alone and cross the finish line with an advantage of 2' on Filippi that in the sprint has reason of Corradini rather raised.
Then to the spicciolata the others, while the foltissimo public has nearly invaded complemente the rectilinear one of arrival.

Arrival judge Castrini, jury president Garabello, provincial trustee Ba rana. Excellent organization of the G.S. Valpolicella CSI Except for a few falls, no major accidents in a race that must be counted among the most beautiful of this season.
